Miller Joins Vertical Transportation Excellence

October 6, 2008/Philadelphia, Pa.: Michael S. Miller, C.E.I., was recently named a vertical transportation specialist with Vertical Transportation Excellence (VTX). VTX, an elevator and escalator consulting firm, serves aviation, education, government, healthcare, commercial, retail, recreation, and public transit clients across the United States.

Based in VTX’s Philadelphia, Pa., office, Miller is responsible for conducting contract compliance, code compliance, project management, and third-party inspections of elevators and escalators. He conducts maintenance and safety audits on existing elevators, provides documentation and recommendations on neglected and non-code-compliant items, and makes recommendations to correct deficiencies. Miller also surveys existing elevator and escalator installations and provides alternatives and recommendations on upgrading or replacing the equipment.

A certified elevator inspector (C.E.I.), Miller has 18 years of vertical transportation experience in the design, construction, modernization, maintenance, and project management of elevators, escalators, and lifts.
