VTX Establishes Jacksonville Office
January 5, 2009/Jacksonville, Fla.: VTX, an elevator and escalator consulting firm, which also specializes in moving walks and material handling design and technology consulting, is pleased to announce the opening of its new Jacksonville, Fla., office.

W. Timothy Eason, III, C.E.I., will serve as vice president of the firm’s Southeast Region. He will be responsible for providing direct project support on existing contracts and the development of new business opportunities throughout the southeastern United States.
Most recently, Eason led VTX’s Washington, D.C., office, where he managed the world’s largest escalator modernization project for the Washington Metro Transit Authority. In 2006, this project was recognized as the first American Public Transit Authority project of the year. Eason holds a bachelor of science in structural engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a master of business administration from the University of West Florida.
