Murphy Named Vertical Transportation Specialist for VTX

Feb. 15, 2010/Baltimore, Md.: Timothy M. Murphy, C.E.I. was recently hired as a vertical transportation specialist for Vertical Transportation Excellence’s (VTX) Baltimore office. VTX provides a wide range of elevator and escalator consulting services to the aviation, educational, healthcare, and public transportation markets, including commercial and governmental, across the United States.

Murphy has 40 years of engineering, design, and project management experience. Murphy’s extensive experience in the areas of service, modernization, maintenance, and construction management have prepared him for this current role.

Murphy’s responsibilities include contract compliance, code compliance, and third-party inspections of elevators, escalators, and dumbwaiters. He is also responsible for conducting maintenance and safety audits on existing elevators, performing detailed installation and equipment inspections, and reviewing contractual submittals.

Murphy is a registered certified elevator inspector (C.E.I.).
