July 20, 2006/New York, Ny.: Victor J. Matoske, Q.E.I. has been named project manager for Vertical Transportation Excellence (VTX). VTX, an elevator and escalator consulting firm, serves aviation, education, government, healthcare, commercial, retail, recreation, and public transit clients across the United States.
Based in VTX’s New York office, Matoske brings more than 30 years of experience in the elevator industry. Matoske has previous experience in service, repair, modernization, and construction management at Transel Elevator, Slade Elevator, Mainco Elevator, and Central International Elevator in the New York and New Jersey area. His current role and responsibilities will be project management of assignments in the greater New York City area. Matoske will develop standards for elevator and escalator designs, provide solutions for upgrading existing installations, conduct in-depth safety inspections to meet code and special requirement, and assist clients and designers with the interpretation of official codes. He will also be responsible for performing construction, investigative, and acceptance inspections.
Matoske continues to gain knowledge about the industry through various programs and classes. He is a registered qualified elevator inspector (Q.E.I.) and holds a New York City Master Electrician License.
