August 24, 2007/Philadelphia, Pa.: David P. Hansen, Q.E.I., was recently named a senior vice president with Vertical Transportation Excellence (VTX). VTX, an elevator and escalator consulting firm, serves aviation, education, government, healthcare, commercial, retail, recreation, and public transit clients across the United States.
Based in VTX’s Philadelphia, Pa., office, Hansen oversees the day-to-day operations and project and staff management of VTX’s offices and projects nationwide. Beginning in August, he will focus his efforts on the successful implementation of the ISO 9001:2001 standard across VTX to ensure consistent, high-quality work for clients across the country.
Hansen has more than 30 years of vertical transportation experience in the design, modernization, maintenance, and project management of elevators, escalators, moving walks, and lifts.
A qualified elevator inspector (Q.E.I.), Hansen holds a bachelor of science in business management from St. Joseph’s University. He is a member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Mid-Atlantic Association of Elevator Contractors, and the National Association of Elevator Safety Authorities.
VTX operates as a division of Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm.
