August 24, 2007/Phoenix, Az.: Robert Newmeyer joins Vertical Transportation Excellence (VTX) as project manager. VTX, an elevator and escalator consulting firm, serves aviation, education, government, healthcare, commercial, retail, recreation, and public transit clients across the United States.

Based in VTX’s Phoenix, Az., office, Newmeyer is responsible for coordinating the design of elevators, escalators, moving walk systems, and related vertical transportation systems, as well as vertical transportation consulting services. Newmeyer has 27 years invested in the elevator industry and held various sales and management positions in Philadelphia, PA; Washington, DC; Phoenix and Tucson, AZ; and San Francisco, CA.

He is experienced in the design, modernization, maintenance, and project management of elevators, escalators, moving walks, and lifts.  

VTX operates as a division of Gannett Fleming, Inc., an international planning, design, and construction management firm.
